Children have a difficult time recognizing whether they have a vision problem because they have no basis for comparison. There are several key signals that indicate vision problems:
    Rubbing of the eyes

    Complaining often of headaches

    Squinting

    Holding objects unusually close or far away

    Excessive blinking

    Favoring one eye by covering it or turning the head

    Eyes are not aligned or are not working together

    Eyes are red, swollen or encrusted

    Your child experiences recurring stys or infections on eyelids
